Qualifications:
- 2 – 4+ years of any combination of prior lobbying experience, legislative staff, state agency legislative liaison responsibilities, LAO or DOF post.
- Demonstrated experience with CA legislative cycle, deadlines and state budget process.
- Strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, organized and detail oriented.
- Sound ethical base.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to formulate strategic, creative approaches to achieve client objectives.
- Ability to travel, principally in California, and valid CA driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, JD or advanced degree preferred.

Professional Responsibilities:
- Work with clients on objectives and develop and execute strategies toward success.
- Implement client-approved political action plans, including meeting with elected officials and staff, testifying in legislative committees, and building coalitions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory developments impacting clients.
- Lead regularly-scheduled and as-needed meetings with clients.
- Analyze legislation and regulatory proposals and summarize potential impacts for clients.
- Create recommended client position letters for client approval to employ on legislation and regulations.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary depending on experience $75,000 – $150,000+)
